Water Mint - Mentha pulegium - Penny Royal

A dwarf member of the mint family, this attractive plant is ideal for carpeting pond edges, bog gardens and planting shelves, produces masses of mauve-pink flowers in late summer. Delightfully aromatic, foliage gives off a sweet minty scent when brushed. A creeping perennial producing a mix of upright and spreading stems.

Plant to depths of up to 4" (10cm)

You can reduce the depths of your margins by sitting the planting baskets on concrete blocks or similar.

You will receive a young plant around 5 - 10cm 2" - 4" high, with some leaves and will be sent in it's rooted form to save on postal costs. It will require potting on receipt.

This plants can be planted directly into boggy areas or into the bottom of lakes/ponds. If there is a liner, we suggest using a water planting basket. Use aquatic soil, topped with heavy gravel or large stones. Alternate ways can be offered if you contact us.
