Water Iris, with dark purple flowers, with leaves that are reeds. Must be cultivated submerged in water as border plants in streams and ponds, excellent in symbiosis with iris ensata for having blooms in different periods. Flowering in late spring, unaffected by frost. Plant in sun or part shade. Can be grown in moist soil conditions, or water up to 15 cm deep. These beautiful irises thrive in a wide range of soils from acid to alkaline. Flowers are a stunning purple-black. Height 60 to 100 cm. Plant with water depth above soil of up to 6" 15cm
You can reduce the depths of your margins by sitting the planting baskets on concrete blocks or similar.
You will receive a young plant around 6"-8" (15-20cm) high, with some leaves and will be sent in it's rooted form to save on postal costs. It will require potting on receipt.
